A Checklist for Choosing a Medicine Supplier
Before you place a bulk order with a new supplier, run through these checks on licences, documents, pricing and terms.
MedAuraMart lets you contact sellers directly, and payment and delivery are agreed between you and the seller. That keeps prices competitive, but it also means you should check a new supplier before your first order. Use this checklist.
Licences and registration
- Drug licence: ask for the seller’s wholesale or manufacturing drug licence number and check it is valid for the products you are buying.
- Tax registration: a GST number (or the equivalent in your country) lets you receive a proper tax invoice.
- Business details: a registered business name and address that match the documents.
Sellers marked Verified on MedAuraMart have submitted their drug licence and GST details, which our team has reviewed. It is still good practice to confirm the details for your own records.
Product documents
- Certificate of Analysis (COA) for the batch you will receive, especially for APIs and bulk powders.
- Batch number, manufacturing date and expiry date.
- Manufacturer name, if the seller is a distributor.
Price and terms, in writing
- Price per unit, and whether it includes tax and freight.
- Minimum order quantity.
- Payment terms: advance, part-advance or credit.
- Delivery time and how the goods will be shipped.
- What happens if goods arrive damaged, short or near expiry.
Keep this conversation in the MedAuraMart chat so the agreed terms are in one place. When you agree, ask the seller to confirm the deal in the chat. It records the product, quantity and price for both of you.
Start small
With a new supplier, a smaller first order is a low-risk way to check quality, packaging and delivery before you commit to volume.
Rate the seller
After a deal is completed you can rate the seller. Ratings help other buyers choose, and good sellers stand out.
